OSLOB WHALESHARK TOUR

Your adventure begins with an early morning drive to Sibulan, where we board a roll-on, roll-off ferry to Santander south of Cebu, for another half hour. From the seaport, it’s a 15 minute drive to Tanawan, Oslob where the whalesharks or ‘tuki’ as the locals call them, have been sighted more frequently starting in 2011, and since the fishermen have started feeding them with shrimp. You are required to attend a briefing session, before boarding a local banca to the designated whaleshark watching area, about 30m from the coastline. Viewing is allowed from 6am to 1pm only, and you are given 30 minutes to swim and snorkel around them. After the activity, enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant before taking the roro ferry back to Sibulan, and heading back to Dumaguete.
