Casaroro Falls
Duration: 5-6 hours (08:00 – 13:00 to 14:00)
Get intimate with nature as you explore Negros Oriental’s most photographed waterfalls, Casaroro Falls located in Valencia, approximately 45 minute drive from Dumaguete. It’s a fun, challenging hike to the fallsa
steel stairway of 300+ steps, partly paved pathwalk, and mostly some rivertrekking through boulders and
rocks. Be rewarded with the view of a single column that drops 100 feet into a pool surrounded by steep
rocks and thick foliage. The technical hike takes about an hour per way. Enjoy lunch at the nearby Forest
Camp, a 2.5 Hectare mountain resort located in a valley amid a canopy of tropical, indigenous forest trees.
It has a river passing through its landscape with 9 cold spring swimming pools designed to appear like
natural lagoons formed by the river.

Casaroro Falls & Balinsasayaw Twin Lakes
Duration: 8 hours (07:30 – 16:00)
Get the best of the outdoors and combine the tours to the Casaroro Falls and the Balinsasayaw Twin Lakes
in one day!
Start with a challenging hike to Casaroro Falls, a single column that drops 30meters into a pool surrounded
by rocks and thick foliage of indigenous forest trees. Be ready with an hour of river trekking and some 350
steps down a concrete pathway and a steep steel stairway. Return the same route.
Tucked 850M above sea level, northwest of Dumaguete, the twin lakes of Balinsasayao offer scenic
views and excellent nature hikes. An hour and 30-minute drive from Dumaguete to Sibulan, with half the
drive on a hilly terrain affords you a panoramic view of the Tanon Strait and Cebu and the beautiful
countryside. Cross Lake Balinsasayaw on a local banca, or trek your way through a 30-minute rock trail
around the lake to reach its twin, Lake Danao.
Enjoy a local lunch at the Balinsasayaw community restaurant and viewdeck.
Bring a windbreaker or jacket as the weather can be completely different, with the air much cooler
and almost always, some light rain.
