Discover and experience Dumaguete, dubbed the “City of Gentle People” –a fitting compliment to the unhurried lifestyle of Dumagueteños. First stop is the Silliman University, where we take you on a walking tour of the campus dotted with centuryold acacia trees. A tour of the Anthropological Museum is worth it (weekdays only). Next is a rolling tour of the city’s landmarks follows, including Claytown Pottery, Ninoy Aquino Park, the Convention Center, the bustling Public Market, and the historical Sta. Catalina de Alexandria Church & Bellfry.

A quick trip down south of Dumaguete takes you to Negros Oriental Arts and Heritage (NOAH) which houses the stonecraft factory & showroom in Bacong , and the century-old San Agustin Church. Alternatively, you may southwest and upland to the town of Valencia through the tree-lined highway and visit Forest Camp, a cool and lush mountain resort with natural and man-made springs and pools, set amidst a forest setting.
Lastly, you will pass through Rizal Boulevard, and visit Sidlakang Negros for some handicraft & delicacies. A delectable lunch awaits you at Lab-as Seafoods, a popular restaurant by the sea, which offers live fresh fish, crabs, oysters, and other native specialties.

A visit to the Anthropological Museum is worth it. Following is a rolling tour of the well-landscaped Ninoy Aquino Park,the Negros Oriental Convention Center, the bustling Public Market, and the historical Sta. Catalina de Alexandria Church and Bell Tower. A delectable lunch is prepared for you at Lab-as Seafoods, a popular restaurant by the sea that offers live fresh fish, crabs, oysters, and other native specialties.

In the afternoon, you will be whisked off to the adjacent town of Bacong where the Negros Oriental Arts and Heritage –a stonecraft factory and showroom, and the century-old San Agustin Church are found. Going southwest and upland a drive through the tree-lined highway brings you to Forest Camp in Valencia–a cool and lush camp with natural and man-made springs and pools, and a hanging bridge, set amidst a forest setting.  Alternatively, you may head north to the town of Sibulan through the scenic coastal road and visit Our Lady’s Garden and enjoy the panoramic view of the Tanon Strait and islands of Cebu and Siquijor while walking around its orchid garden and traditional bamboo houses.

Last stop will be the Sidlakang Negros for some souvenir shopping, and Rizal Boulevard, a promenade park popular among locals and tourists.
